InStream Water COVID-19 Response

The rapid spread of COVID-19 has taken us all by surprise, placed a tremendous amount of stress on our healthcare system and businesses, and created a lot of anxiety in everyone. We want you to know we take this issue seriously and have a plan to ensure your safety when using our refill stations.

Our water is safe. The EPA has released a statement that COVID-19 has not been detected in any drinking water supplies and our use of a UV filter in our refill stations that follows the NSF/ANSI 55 Class A standard for disinfection of viruses and other biological contaminants should they ever be present in the water supply ensures safe, clean drinking water is dispensed from our stations.

While the water is safe, we are also conducting thorough cleaning and sanitization of each unit by disinfecting all exterior surfaces of our refill stations. As always, please remember our refill stations can be used touch-free. Simply download the InStream app, set your preferred water type and amount and the next time you visit a refill station your water will automatically dispense without the need to touch anything.

In addition, we encourage you to take your own actions to stay safe when using a refillable water bottle. Experts recommend using soap and water to wash reusable cups after each use and water bottles at least daily.
We encourage everyone to stay safe during this difficult period.
